JBRS has always been (and still is) a free production offered to Community & Non-Profit radio stations – a ‘hobby’ that started in 2004 on a small Montreal Community radio station and that evolved into an international syndicated radio show and global podcast.
A DIFFICULT DECISION Having built-up a collective subscriber base of over 12K on various podcast portals, it was a difficult decision to close the RSS feed and centralize all podcasts of the broadcasts to MixCloud.
‘LEGAL WILD WEST’ – when it comes to broadcast music-shows putting episodes on the web legal issues are poorly defined and complicated.
MIXCLOUD stepped into this ‘WIld West’ and allows JBRS to offer its podcasts on the web, while they take care of addressing the legalities of licensing and PAYING MUSICIANS for the use of their music. That’s big! And that’s why JBRS podcasts made the move to MixCloud.
